Recovery Coaching
[psychosocial]

We welcomed the introduction of Recovery Coaches to the NDIS, because we have been working within a recovery-orientated model for years.  Prior to Inspire Connect, we worked for Queensland Health managing mental health peer workers to support people with complex persistent mental-ill health. This included working in acute mental health units, forensic and high secure units and community mental health supporting people with recovery plans.  We have lived and learnt experience and our practice is governed by values including; self-determination, connection, mutuality, authenticity, transparency and hope.

Our definition of a recovery coach is “a person who promotes hope through sharing their lived experience of mental ill health & supports another to develop a personal recovery plan’’.

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching is a new line item funded and recognised by the NDIS to support participants  with a psychosocial disability. We are registered to provide this service, as we meet the NDIA’s qualification and work experience requirements.

Through strong and respectful relationships and skilled coaching, we support you to increase your recovery skills & abilities including motivation, strengths, resilience & decision making.  Our recovery coaches work collaboratively with you and your support network to develop and implement a recovery plan.
